How it works:
- Purchase a travel SIM card, or a SIM card of a cellular operator from the country you are going to.
- Add the phone number for the SIM card you purchased to the "My phone numbers" section in your account page and select the "Roaming" checkbox. If you don't know the phone number yet, you can add it later.
- Before going abroad, activate the "call forwarding" feature with your cellular provider and redirect all calls from your domestic phone numbers to your MetroPoint phone number. It's free if you're subscribed to a "Family" plan or similar calling plan.
- Now you'll receive incoming calls at local rates with the new SIM-card (in most countries incoming calls are free).
Our "Rates" start as low as 2 cents per minute - more than 20 times cheaper than roaming fees from your cellular provider. Additional information about mobile savings plans (like "Family" plans) can be found in our forum.
* In order to make free calls between your MetroPoint and your cellphone, you should be subscribed to "Family" or "Corporate" mobile plan at your cellular provider. Otherwise you'll have to pay for calls from your cellphone to your Metronet's cellphone.
